A Community Cabaret

Another Window is an annual cabaret featuring a diversity of talent and genres including music, spoken word, drag and more, produced by Neworld Theatre. The premise for this show is that Vancouver is just a big enough place that most of our cultural audiences are segmented into disciplines, genres and social identities. This event is designed to knock down these walls and build community in the process.

In January 2019, Neworld partnered with the frank theatre to bring a queer, intersectional focus to the evening’s curation. Programming included “blind dates,” where artists from different cultures and disciplines were paired together to create original performances.
