Call for LGBTQ+ Immigrants & Refugees for Diaspora: Phase 1

Artist Jackson Wai Chung Tse, one of the participants of Diaspora’s community conversation.

Dear community members and artists! We invite you to come share your stories about being a queer newcomer in Canada. Join us for a community conversation, April 27th 2019, 9:30am-4:30pm, led by the Frank’s artistic director, Fay Nass, and UBC’s Director of Dialogue and Conflict Engagement, Dr. Aftab Erfan.

This conversation will inform the Frank Theatre’s new devised theatre show, Diaspora. There will be opportunities for 4-5 participants from this phase to be involved in the next stages, including a reading at Queer Arts Festival and a full-scale production in 2020.

No theatre experience required. This is a paid opportunity, with a lunch provided. To apply, please send an email with a short paragraph about why you wish to participate to anais@thefranktheatre.com
